They do not fail at talking. That is the only muscle they kept. Hearings that are not hearings. Floor speeches that never become a vote. A Sunday show that names a villain and never names a line in a statute. Gallup, April 2026: ten percent approve of Congress. Eighty-six percent disapprove. That is not a branding problem. That is a shop that stopped delivering the thing it was hired to deliver.

The 118th Congress sat among the least productive modern sessions. The 119th still owes twelve appropriations bills by October 1 — a deadline they have not met on time since the Clinton years. They will tell you the other jersey did it. Both jerseys took the oath. Both jerseys took the $7.258 billion. The country still does not get a budget it can read.
This series is the hearing they will not schedule. Next: they sold the split so you would fight your neighbor instead of reading the annex. Then: full time or go home. Then: the whole bill — every page, every reconciliation print, posted before the gavel, or they do not get to vote. Independent. No PAC. Not a call to violence. The mic is not the job.
